During the summer term, as of the 27th April 2020 you will have the opportunity to access a daily phonics lesson for your child by clicking on Year 1 Summer term Phase 5. A new lesson will be uploaded at 10.30am Monday – Friday. After upload each lesson will be available to watch throughout the summer term.
I know there is additional phonics to do at the start of the literacy lesson I have uploaded, however that can be used as a warm-up before the lesson begins and can tie in with the spellings that are set. There is no harm in additional phonics! Any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Mr Flitton

Hi all, Hope you are all well and staying safe inside. Please let me know if you need any help with anything, I will always do my best to help with whatever I can. Here is your work for the week with a few changes. (Once I have some more pictures of emotions from last week I will load these up on the website) Parents – both Maths and English are shown using the links below. There may be times when videos need pausing so you may need to help children with this. Maths – (please follow the link for your year group) Keep practising your times tables! This week we are going to be following the National Academy planning for both Maths and English. You might find we have done some of the work before, but that is ok, it will help us revise. Art – Follow the link and have a go at drawing a dog. This is a bit of fun so don’t worry too much about how your dog looks. Tip – you need to press very lightly to begin with so practise this first. Hi all, I hope you have all had a good Easter and not eaten too much chocolate! I have been sent some really lovely photos of you during your time away from school and it is lovely to see so many of you working hard, keep it up! So, we are back to school on Monday, but not actually coming into school. Below are the activities I would like you to have completed by the end of the week. Maths – Keep practising your times tables! This week we are going to be following White Rose planning for maths. You might find we have done some of the work before, but that is ok, it will help us revise. Year 1 - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ Year 2 - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/ Please start on week 2, lessons 1-5 on Monday and write the answers in your maths book (if you have already completed this then please move on to summer term, week 1-5). Make sure you are still working on your presentation (mums and dads, keep sending pictures of their work) I will be giving gold stars out to those who I can see have really tried to make their work neat! There are also answers so either a parent can check your work, or you can check the answers. Please let me know via email or comment below so I know how you have got on. Phonics – please follow the below link, this will give you the pack you need for the week. You only need to go through the powerpoint. (if this doesn’t work let me know) Phase 4 – Move on to phase 5 : https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-l-527293-ay-saying-ai-level-5-week-1-weekly-lesson-pack Phase 5 – https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/ew-saying-yoo-and-oo-level-5-week-13-weekly-lesson-pack-t-l-9274 Phase 6 - https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-l-527338-eer-saying-ear-level-6-week-13-weekly-lesson-pack Literacy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfIuIQaOLlY This week we are going to watch a book being read called ‘Stanley’s Stick’. (All work to be completed in your books, don’t forget capital letters, full stops and finger spaces!) Day 1 – Before you watch the video discuss with an adult or sibling what you think the story might be about, then in your books, write down or draw your prediction of what you think the story would be about. Once you have finished, watch the video. How close were you to predicting the story? Is your story better?
Day2 – Watch the film again if needed (use resource 2a and 2b from teaching resource)
Day 3 – Describe a setting
Day 4 - describe the character
Day 5 – to understand a character’s thoughts and feelings
Topic – find a stick and be creative, what could you do with it? Can you make it in to anything or use it for something? (get ideas from the story ‘Stanley’s Stick’). RE – Easter Story resources and powerpoint have been put on the website. You can either print off the sheet and make stick puppets and retell the story or draw the characters, cut them out and retell the story. ICT – Study ladder activities French – A bit different, can you say the numbers 1 – 10 in French! Maybe make a video of you doing it? ![]()

Hi Pendragons, I hope you are all well and being well behaved for your parents whilst having to stay at home. Below, I have attached some activities for you to do over the Easter Half Term, incase you get bored or need something to do. Although, you aren't expected to do the work I would expect you to do some work, like we expect every half term, such as spellings, Times Tables, reading and handwriting. Parents, please could you take pictures and send them to me via the Pendragon email, either weekly or at the end of half term, thanks. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. I hope you are all well, keep safe. Mr Flitton Pendragonyr12@gmail.com ![]()
