Our Work
Camelot Class have made some fantastic artwork for the latest display for the church.
Christmas Gift Boxes
We worked with Yeovale Rotary Club to provide Christmas boxes to the vulnerable and lonely in our village. I am pleased to report that we were able to make 20 boxes, each filled with two mince pies, a piece of Christmas cake and some Quality Street with a Christmas greetings card made by the children. These were distributed around the village and we received some lovely words of thanks from the village residents.
Children in The Orchard Class have been working incredibly hard to create some magnificent artwork which has been placed on display at the church. The centres and petals of the poppies have the names of local people who lost their lives during World War 2. Lest We Forget.
How have we been Christians during Lockdown?

We took the opportunity during lockdown to appreciate each others uniqueness. We spent time celebrating our differences and similarities and came up with this display together.
Ms Robinson wrote a piece for the village magazine...
We made and sent cards to Wisteria House care home in Tintinhull. They send a big thank you back.
We made and sent cards to Yeovil Hospital. They sent a lovely thank you card back:
Staff created a positive message for the children:
Pilgrim Day
At the end of every year, the year 6's are invited to a Pilgrim Day at Well's Cathedral. This year was no exception. Although we could not go in person, the Year 6's could watch the service and take part in activities.
Here are some of the Year 6's making their journey sticks and holding their candles which were blessed at the end of the service.

What have we been doing in RE lessons?
As we are unable to visit the church at the moment, we have been recalling our favourite memories instead...

Little Pippins:
We listened to Father Peter’s assembly this week. We went outside and made a collage together of a cross using twigs, daisies and buttercups. Like Barnabus, we helped each other to make our collage especially when the wind blew and all our flowers were flying away!

Little Pippins:
We listened to Father Peter's sermon on-line. It was about the Holy Trinity and how God is three-in-one:- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We went outside to collect three sticks and a three-leaf clover to represent the Holy Trinity. We then made our own representation of The Holy Trinity.
Here are our photos of The Holy Trinity in nature.

Little Pippins FSU:
We explored the story of Noah's Ark with the children, talking about why there was a flood, how Noah collected two of each animal and how God's promise to Noah was shown by a colourful rainbow when the flood was over. We also enjoyed singing 'The Animals Went In Two By Two'

Keyworker Children:
10.06.2020
The group joined Father Peter for collective worship online today! This inspired the KS2 children to create their own School Prayer.
The younger members of the group learnt about different places and symbols of worship depending on religion.
We ended by watching a short animated film on the importance of kindness.
