So the Easter holidays are over and it's now back to school! Judging by the photos, lots of you were very busy. Maths: This week we are going to be following White Rose planning for maths. We might find we have done some of the work before, but that is ok, it will help us revise. Year 5 follow these links: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ Year 6 follow these links: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ Start on Week 3 Day 1 on Monday. There are answers so you can check how you have got on, please let me know, either via email or comment below. You do not need to print out the questions, just write the answers in your book Literacy: We are using another picture this week - open the watery world pdf. Monday: Complete the sentence activities, writing sentences using brackets. Then complete the 'sick' sentences. Can you rewrite them so that they are more exciting and interesting to read? Tuesday: complete the questions Wednesday: using the picture from Monday - continue on the story. You can write them in your books or type them and email them to me. Thursday: either continue your story (which included editing) or complete the study ladder activities. Friday: complete the studyladder activities. Topic work: Design a board game - you might need to play a few first to find out what elements you like in the game. Design and make your game, take photos and let me know all about it. This week's Literacy was based on a watery world. Can you design your ideal underwater world or home? This could be drawn, painted, made from lego - be imaginative. Again send photos so we can share your work. If you have not already done so - sign up to Duolingo and have a go with your French. Let me know how you get on. In addition: I expect you to do Readtheory every day and complete Corbetts five a day: https://corbettmathsprimary.com/5-a-day/ (just use the current date) and learn your spellings (this half terms have been uploaded to the class website page) Year 6 - you will need to think of some words which you find tricky to spell - check your last piece of writing for ideas. ![]()
