Click here for this week's work Topic: continue with the active May mat - what has been your favourite activity so far? History We are finding out about Early Islamic Civilisations and this week we are going to be finding out about the Silk Road. First watch the video (make sure you are keeping esfae!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn3e37VWc0k Whilst watching the video, think about theses questions: Who were some of the early important people in establishing trade routes? What goods were traded? What areas were linked by the ‘silk road’? What else travelled the ‘silk road’, as well as goods? Now complete more research using www.swiggle.org.uk as your search engine and complete a two page spread about the silk road. A big WOW and Well Done to the following who have completed 100% of the activities set on StudyLadder:
Joshua B Ella Alex Charlie Eden Kiera Elsa Thank you to everyone who sent in a photo to enter the competition.
From Monday you need to let me know which picture is your favourite and then on Friday I will reveal the winner! Good luck everyone! We have been looking at VE day. Here is some of the work that we produced. Archie and Evan have been working hard. Evan wrote a letter to his mother as a soldier and designed a Winston Churchill coin. Archie made a medal and a poster about Dig for Victory. Joshua B drew lots of flags for the countries associated with VE day.
Eden and his family enjoyed attending a street party.
Welcome to another week - Year 6 - it's SATs week!!! For any Year 6 who would like to do their SATs, please speak to your parents as I have sent them some SATs papers!! Maths - due to popular demand we are going to be using White Rose resources again. Year 5 https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ Year 6 https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ Please see files below for the worksheets for each lesson. The worksheets will not be on the website. Literacy - https://www.pobble365.com/expecto-patronum We should all be into the routine of these by now. Remember that you do not need to write a story, you could write it as a letter, who could Snape have sent the patronus to, why and how is he writing to? In addition there will be grammar and spelling activities on studyladder Topic - I thought this week we would have a photo competition - please send me a photo of something that makes you smile.
