We have been drawing poppies and using water colours to paint them, ready for our Remembrance display.
Literacy: see the pdf Maths: see the pdfs below Science: go through the power point and watch the two videos about how plants and camels adapt to their environments. Then pick a plant and an animal and think about how it adapts to it's environment - use the questions on the power point as prompts. Topic: we are going to be finding out about the meaning of place names. Have a look at the sheet to find the meaning of the different place names. Then use a map to find some Anglo-Saxon place names and mark them on your map. Mon-Weds Literacy - see pdf. Thursday - write a descriptive passage of the cave where Grendel might live. Friday: edit your writing Maths - please see attached worksheets. Start with the rounding and then move onto negative numbers. Science - have a look at the 3 star sheets - can you match the animal to it's environment and adaptations. RE - read Psalm 6: 16-19 do you know what each line means. Topic - look at the map - can you mark on where the different invaders came from? Angles: Denmark, Jutes: Belgium, Frisians: The Netherlands, Saxons: Germany, Picts: Sctoland, Scots: Ireland Check the class page for your spellings we are on week 2
The Summer Holidays are here! School will not resume until September. Year 6 - we will all miss you - good luck at your Secondary Schools Whilst having fun over the summer, why not keep up with some work.
