We’ve taken the Let’s Go Zero pledge, declaring our aim to become zero carbon by 2030. We’re joining schools across the UK in this national campaign to show the overwhelming support for zero carbon schools, and inviting government and local councils to work with us to reach this goal. At our school, we believe that caring for the planet isn’t just a responsibility, it’s an opportunity to shape a better future. Every member of our community, from our youngest pupils to our staff and families, plays a part in protecting the world we share. That’s why we’re taking bold steps to become true eco warriors and lead the way in climate action.By joining the Let’s Go Zero campaign we’re taking a positive step on a local level to help combat the climate issues we all face globally. It sends a strong message to our whole school and community that together we can safeguard our planet for future generations.

Building Sustainable Habits
We’re working hard to embed sustainability into everyday school life. From reducing single‑use plastics to encouraging reusable water bottles and lunch containers, we’re helping children make small changes that add up to a big impact. Our recycling efforts across the school have greatly improved, and we’re now recycling more than ever. We're even making a green house made from plastic bottles!
Cutting Our Carbon Footprint
Energy awareness is a key part of our mission. We’re switching off lights when rooms aren’t in use, reducing heating waste, and exploring more efficient technologies. children are learning how energy choices affect the planet, empowering them to make climate‑friendly decisions both in school and at home.
Growing a Greener Campus
Our outdoor spaces are becoming living classrooms. With our planting areas, wildlife‑friendly zones, and children‑led gardening projects and club, we’re creating habitats that support bees, birds, and other local species. These green spaces not only help the environment—they also give children hands‑on experience with nature and the science behind climate care.
Learning for the Future
Climate education is woven into our curriculum. Through science, geography, PSHE, and special eco‑projects, children learn about climate change, sustainability, and how communities can work together to protect the planet. We want every child to leave our school feeling confident, informed, and ready to make a difference.
Working Together
Becoming eco warriors is a team effort. We’re proud of the enthusiasm our children show, and we’re excited to continue building partnerships with families, local organisations, and the wider community. Together, we can create lasting change
