I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13 states,
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse emphasises the belief that believers can overcome any challenge or difficulty in life by relying on Christ's strength.

Love: We want St Margaret’s pupils to develop a love of learning that will grow as they travel through their educational career and beyond. We work together to nurture an inquisitive love of learning by including many exciting learning opportunities.

Honesty: St Margaret’s pupils are encouraged to be honest and they are given a platform to do so. Discussions in our curriculum about British Values, diversity and what is happening in the world today, encourages honest speaking. Pupils at St Margaret’s learn that their views are valued and welcome.

Courage: St Margaret’s pupils are able to achieve because they believe in themselves and in each other. This takes courage, and when our pupils face new challenges they embrace each one and give them their best shot!

Friendship: Friendship is an important part of our curriculum at St Margaret’s. Pupils will support each other through their learning and encourage each other to try new things, step outside their comfort zone or learn from making mistakes. Friendship encourages a safe environment in which to learn.

Respect: Everybody at St Margaret’s is unique and everybody is welcome here. Recent converts to the ‘No Outsiders programme’ has helped support this view and has encouraged many debates. Just as each person is unique so is each person’s way of learning. Teachers and children work hard to make sure that all learning styles are catered for and that everyone is able to achieve to the best of their ability.

Trust: In order to deliver a progressive, forward thinking, exciting curriculum all stakeholders at St Margaret’s need to trust each other. Pupils trust that the education they receive is created specifically for them; teachers need to trust that pupils will embrace the curriculum and apply themselves fully; parents and Governors need to trust that the pupils are at the centre of decisions made about the curriculum. All stakeholders have confidence in the curriculum that is being delivered.
At St Margaret’s our curriculum is designed to ensure our young people leave us with high aspirations; they will know how to make a positive contribution to their own and the wider community. We aim to challenge all learners through rich curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. This will help our pupils to become resilient learners who are not afraid to take risks, solve problems or be creative. We strive to ensure that our learning environment is positive, happy and stimulating for pupils and other stakeholders. Children will reach at least age related expectations in reading, writing and maths. Children with SEND will also reach their full potential. Our pupils are learning for life and our role is to offer them a curriculum that will support this.
