Welcome to the final half term of the year!
In our first week after half term we enjoyed our trip to explore the journey of the River Parrett from Langport through Muchelney to Kingsbury Episcopi. We have researched the flooding that took place in and around Muchelney in 2014 but luckily our river walk was in lovely sunshine.
We are now enjoying the rehearsals for The Orchard Class musical production "The Lion King." We will be performing a short extract from the start of the play during the Poetry and Prose evening in church on Thursday evening. Our performances will take place in July.
On June 19th Year 6 will visit Wells Cathedral for a 'Pilgrims Day,' when they participate in workshops and shared worship with other Year 6 children in the Cathedral. It is a lovely way to celebrate and give thanks for the Primary school years.
Then in July we look forward to our Sports afternoon, the school fayre and our whole school trip to Weymouth.
Followed by the Year 6 Leavers' Service in church, which will be a special occasion for this year group and their parents.
What a fun half term!
